Are Facebook Ads Worth It?

Facebook sent me a coupon for $50 worth of free advertising, so I used it to promote Totally Socks. Ttoday, my Totally Socks page quickly got three likes. I have it set to use the $50 at $5 per day, and it was quickly gone. That breaks down to $1.66 per LIKE.

Is it worth it? If not for the free ad money, I would never pay that much, would you?
 
An update: The next day, I received 23 new likes and a steady stream of likes spawned from their friends, so it may be worth it after all. I'll post a total number of likes gained after all of the initial $50 has been used.
 
I was going to use this but after some research I seen a lot of people complaining about it auto billing them and such. I never really looked into further after that. Keep us posted tho.
 
I would like to see the results too, I have always put stuff like this off ever since Adwords started charging me after the free coupon ran out.
 
this works if you're willing to spend A LOT of money. if you put, say 100 bucks on there, that's gonna be gone REAL quick, and i highly doubt your channel will have grown very much. If you've got thousands to blow, then maybe.
 
So far, after 3 days & $15, my likes have gone from 3 to 98. I haven't yet uploaded a new video (due soon), so I'm not sure what impact, if any, this will have on my views.
 
Facebook is the perfect environment for something to actually go viral since the single click of a "like" button shares things with potentially large social circles.

I would NEVER everrrr pay for promotion lol. Simply because I believe i can get it on my own and im not desperate to get myself out there. Its not really worth it to me besides, theres no better feeling when you earn the support yourself.

I tried "making it on my own" for many years while I watched people who put money in advertisement flourish. In today's day and age I'll use all the help I can get. LOL
 
How does one get a Facebook ads coupon?
I got one emailed to me for Adwords some time ago, I would love to try out facebook ads.
