Anyone use the Hauppauge HDPVR?

I want SOFTWARE not a new capture card.

Missing some info. Is it hd pvr 1 or 2. The 1 goes up to 1080i while the 2 goes to 1080p

All 1080i means that it is interlaced. Which you can un-interlace to make it 1080p.

So this really doesnt matter.

The HDPVR 2 can't record at anything higher then 30fps on 1080p... it can record 60fps (59.97) at 1080i but this works out the same as 1080p/30 anyways..
It may record 720p at 59.97fps but I'm not sure. Regardless though it's the hardware not just the software the hardware is not capable of 60fps at 1080p.

I know many people who capture with their Hauppauge at 59.97, and I know the console can handle 60 FPS

yes they will be recording at either 720p or 1080i, the hardware DOESN'T support or handle 1080p60

Okay run this by me again. Someone who has the same hardware as me can record at 59.97, but I can't because my hardware doesn't support it?
