Anyone Have People Who Leave Comments Like "Wow how do you not have more subscribers?"

People seem to leave comments like "wow how do you not have more subscribers / viewers"

I seem to get these types of comments every now and then,don't get me wrong it's flattering they think you're better, but it's like well how do you really want to answer that. Obviously I want to have more views/subscribers etc. Am also trying to gain more.


So basically wondering if anyone else gets compliments like that and how do you respond to them?

I've gotten some of those types of comments from time to time. Usually I respond to them with a different rendition of "Thank you, that means a lot to me". I always feel uncomfortable with those types of comments too. There's really no right way to respond, I just think mine is less of a wrong way, if that makes sense.

We STILL get people saying that to us, it's like, how many subs do we have to get?! Anyway I'd just take it as a compliment.

I used to think it was a compliment, but now I kind of chalk it up as a generic comment like "Cool video". Could be a compliment, could be a lazy copy/paste. I look at the glass half empty sometimes

I suppose it depends on the body of the message. If its "how do you not have more subscibers, your video about xxxxx is the best and I loved when xxxx happened."

I think it's a nice compliment, but sometimes I want to be a smartass and say, "I'm paying you to bring me more subscribers! Earn your keep!"

OOOooooOOOh lol I like this one. I've never gotten a comment like that, but now I know what to say when I do!

I get them from time to time. I appreciate them a lot, it's about the highest form of praise you can get in a comment IMHO.

I do (rarely) but for me the most awkward yet flattering comment is when they say "thank you for the video". When they thank me for a video... How do you reply to that?

So I'm like "no no no no no~ Thank you for giving my videos a chance in the first place." I mean.. I put videos up on YouTube for people to watch. So I didn't really needed that thanks but its flattering because you get thanked for doing what you just wanted to do.
