Anyone Else Notice this with Subscriber Numbers?

Yeah this is definitely on YouTube's end. Like, yes there slow days, but subscriptions to you don't get updated quite frequently. When it doesn't update, I sometimes get an email saying that that person has subscribed to me. I love your channel, btw. Your channel makes me want to eat your cookie videos because they look so good lol. I subbed as well, but it was just recently. I hope to see more from you in the future. =)

I noticed spike in subscribers when YouTube reshuffles the recommended channels on the recommended channels section on your YT channels. There are such big reshafflings at least once per several months.
Also I think I start to notice some weak increase in subs when I am more active on yttalk forums but I am not absolutely sure about it! :)
 
I haven't noticed this happening to me, I have occasionally gained quite a few subs in a short space of time but that usually has an obvious cause.
Although this is probably because I don't gain subscribers quickly enough to have noticed something like this.
