Anyone Else Notice this with Subscriber Numbers?

Sometimes my channel will go all day without any new subscriber then I'll get a bunch of them all at once. This has been happening frequently and many times it happens on days I'm not uploading videos. Does this have something to do with the way Youtube checks to make sure subscribers are legit?

I don't have this happening to me, but maybe you have some dry days? Or maybe it took youtube a while to update your subscriber count. I can usually find out pretty quick if I gained a subscriber.

It's most likely just youtube being slow. It has a lot of other channels to process Your Flip The Bird Cookie video was definitely unique and awesome! I left a like

Could be them getting cached but I cannot say I have noticed that before with subscribers, only views on both total video views and single videos.

Happens to me all the time! But I haven´t encountered the thing that youtube suddenly raises my sub count

This sometimes happens to me, but I think it's just because I'm more active on some days than others, and so say if I decided to post a thread on here, I'd do a lot of other things on here too. But sometimes I can go days, sometimes weeks without posting on here, so it really depends on how active you are, and how much you interact.

I've noticed that too, the number rises but the list doesn't update for a while. I get email notifications when someone new subscribes so I check that to find out who it is.

youtube doesn't update your subs in the list for up to a day. the number changes all day, but the list of recent subs all say (subbed 1 day ago) until youtube updates. So i imagine 12 - 24 hours it takes to show the subs names, but the sub number updates within the hour.
