I'm planning on starting a new channel , the name would be RetardedPigeon (i dunno why but I just thought of that name in class)
I'm a 14 yr old and would mostly play Indie PC games and PS4 games
I would record on Fri-Sat-Sun and upload them on Mon-Wed-Fri.
So I'm curious if there is anything I should know and any good begginer tips , thanks in advance

The pidgeon is fine but you might have negative feedback by using the word "retarded" which is a slur. Below is the reason from some Reddit user:
"Retard has been offensive since at least the early 90s, when I was a kid. When used correctly, it refers to individuals who are mentally retarded, a medical condition. Usually people use "developmentally disabled" or "special needs" for those people these days because the word retard has become so toxic.
When you use it to describe someone who's a dumbass, you're putting down all of the people with the medical condition. It implies that they're idiots, not just disabled. Disability doesn't imply fault, whereas dumbassery does. So, offense."
You can think of any other type of adjective that will fit the name. Of course, this is just my opinion. I haven't included any other advice because most of the people already gave you all the info that you need. Good luck on Youtube!

Reddit can be your friend if you follow the rules some sub reddits allow people to post their videos but make sure the content is of the highest quality possible, for gaming content high fps is key(learned the hard way)

I would advise a different name ... you'll have so much political flak for what you're suggesting.
Best advice I can give in a moment is do your research before starting. Dont just dive into it and make a bunch of crappy content and get discouraged. Take time to teach yourself how to record, how to edit, to make good graphics for your channel, to learn how the system works and how to be a good YouTuber, then begin.

I guess it depends on your priorities. I wouldn't want to be known by that name, nor trade a potentially positive community for a bunch of arguing.

I'm not saying it is a good name, all I am saying is that comments count as engagement and lead to growing your channel regardless of their content it is for the same reason that a like and a dislike are the same thing as far as their effects on your channel its just the way youtubes algorithms work sadly

For the record; while I understand everyone's reluctance on the name "retarded pigeon", I like it (doesn't mean you should stick with it though) perhaps find something close thematically.
Keep the videos fairly short. I have only 2 channels that I watch regularly where the vids are longer than 10 minutes and that's Angry Video Game Nerd and Game Sack. The quality of the vids are very good (though Nerd has dropped a few notches recently) with top notch editing, writing and audio/video quality.
