Hay I'm here because, i feel like my channel is growing at a slow pace.
I know that this i common, when your just starting out. But when i look back at older videos of,popular YouTubers, like Jake Mitchell, they gained like 1000 subs after making 5 videos!!!
Now this confuses me, how does this person gain over 1000 subs after making 5 videos, where it takes me 24 videos just to gain over 300? :/
Has anyone got ant tips on how i can build up an audience, and also give me some suggestion on how this popular youtube gained so much subs in a short amount of time.

Thanks :)

Social Media is always a good place to promote yourself as long as you do it correctly, forums like yttalk are good as well. Facebook groups or even google plus groups can be really good sources of traffic. Word of mouth is probably the best you can get though but that is harder to get but effective once it does happen. There is no sure fire way to promote oneself but trying many avenues may help :)

Social media is great. I only recently realized how powerful and handy Twitter is, so definitely get on there if you can! It's a great way to connect with other creators and your viewers.

For me, Facebook Pages, Facebook Groups, Facebook Friends, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Google Plus Groups, YTtalk, Guitar Forums! :)

Try handing out business cards to people, it makes you look strange handing out youtube business cards but they will check your channel

Did you try it? Did it work?

No I haven't tried it just yet because I haven't even created one but I've seen people with their channels handing out business cards because they want earn more channel growth and it doesn't sound that bad of an idea of what they are doing.

It's never good to compare your channel to other channels, the only one you control is your own. For every wildly successful one there are a lot that don't gain traction.

1. Make amazing videos that people will want to watch voluntarily
2. Talk up your channel to friends and family
3. Use all your social media contacts to spread the word
4. Interact with your audience and ask them to sub
5. Make more amazing videos that people will want to watch voluntarily

If you're doing the above consistently your channel will grow. If you make enough videos often enough, some of them may get the coveted "suggested video" status where YouTube is promoting your video for you. That's the real gravy train, more powerful than a million subscribers.

Thanks a lot for the advice :) Since you have said "talk up to your friends", would there be any chance you could spread the word about my channel?? it would be really appreciated :) and i will try and regularly interact with people in social media, but my issue is how will i approach them??[DOUBLEPOST=1432815900,1432815846][/DOUBLEPOST]
