@natnip
Of course I'm still doing these. I'll only stop when I get no more requests.
Your YouTube channel header looks a little plain in comparison to the banner you've used for your Twitter profile. I'm not just referring to the plain purple colour in comparison to the red/hot pink gradient but also the font/typeface used. Use your Twitter banner image as your channel header and try to incorporate that font/typeface within your thumbnails. The only catch is that the font/typeface used for your Twitter banner is a transparent one (centre is not filled), so if you decide to use it for your thumbnails try to apply that red/hot pink gradient as a fill so it's clearer to read.
Content wise, it's spot on for a vlog channel although be mindful of the cameras' focus. In some of your videos the focus is wonky which is not great. You also mentioned you had a microphone in one of your videos? If so, I can still hear a lot of background resonance so you should try to isolate the sound so your voice can be heard clearly.
@seiya kiing
You're using a green screen to insert yourself into your videos instead of simply putting your webcam footage as is in the top left corner. That's great! However you're inconsistent - in your 'No Humanity Leads to Victory' and 'Super Tower Rush The Intense Running' videos, you made sure to alpha out the green screen but in the rest of your videos you kept the footage as is. If you're going to use the green screen make sure to be consistent and alpha out the green screen in all your videos, just not a few.
I don't know what microphone you're using but it's not coming out clear. Invest in a condenser microphone and if you do have one, try to keep it as close to yourself/your mouth as possible without it appearing on camera.
Content wise your channel is on the right track but your branding needs an overhaul. I don't see how anime art is reflective of Let's Play content on your channel. You also need a new logo to better reflect what your channel does and try to apply the text stylings and logo into your thumbnails. Keep it consistent and you should be fine.
@CramBeats
You're creating music and giving it away for free; no content ID or copyright at all. I salute what you're doing and you're providing a great service for content creators on YouTube. Fantastic work, mate!
Your earlier thumbnails were terrible but your later ones starting from 'Master - Future' are spot on and consistent with your brand. Just keep doing what you're doing and your channel will grow in no time.
@MBGaming
Your audio quality is fantastic; you're clear and easy to understand and the overall audio mixing is spot on.
Thumbnails for your 'Imperial Rome' and 'Sands of Faith' series are great. They are consistent within their respective series and are designed to differentiate between each mod. Good work!
I'll be very interested to see how your channel performs. Not many content creators on YouTube dedicate themselves to one game. Don't get me wrong, it's great that you're showcasing a lot of mods for the game which in turn shows off how flexible Mount & Blade really is. However Mount & Blade, in comparison to a lot of other games, is incredibly niche and thus the available market of viewers interested in your content is relatively small. The question you need to ask yourself is "are there enough people playing Mount & Blade that would be interested in watching my videos?"
To be honest I don't have the answer. All I know is if you want to gain a significantly larger audience you may need to branch out into different games.
@Avarti
Your channel header, avatar and thumbnails need work. For your logo, the one you have here on YTTalk looks a lot better than the one you use as your avatar on your channel. The effects you applied to it simply don't work and the same applies to your channel header. You need to apply a light drop shadow or a stroke to seperate the text from the background you used.
For your thumbnails, the ones for your Fallout New Vegas series is fantastic. Every other thumbnail falls apart and looks cheap. Your Skyrim thumbnails are on the right track but they still don't look as good as what you did with the New Vegas ones.
Content wise, your logo sting is fantastic. Why isn't that font/typeface and style used as your main branding on your channel header and avatar? That should be the direction to take your branding. Your microphone quality is fantastic and your audio mixing is great - I can hear your voice and gameplay clearly.
Again, the only main critisism I have is in regards to your main channel branding. Use the font/typeface and overall style from your logo sting and apply it everywhere - let that be the basis for your branding.
@Matthew Sheldon
Fantastic start to your channel. Your branding is clear and consistent. All you need now is content.
@Pierre Maynard
Logo, channel header, logo sting and the thumbnails (starting from 'Halloween Vlog!' onwards) is great and consistent. Well done on that. As I've mentioned earlier in this thread, avoid copy written music. You're a musician, you can make your own opening intro track.
You've definitely got talent. It's nice listening to your live tracks although it would be nice to at least have a camera there to see your performance. For your gameplay stuff, get yourself a decent microphone and if you're playing with more than one person, try to get a microphone for each one. It'll make the audio clearer and the quality of your videos greater. Microphones will also help if you ever decide to record some music live from your house/home studio.
