All Gaming CHannels are the same-I get it now

I don't think all gaming channels are the same, if you want to succeed you have to have different entertaining content and not copy the big Youtubers
 
I have watched a lot of minecraft videos and they are mostly the same I just don't get it. I enjoy videos that bring something new to the table or show me how to solve a problem or get me places in a game, things that help me ina way or entertain me, but mostly all I see is multiplayer videos and people swearing like mad with not much interesting happening.
 
Correction...MOST Youtube Gaming channels are the same. I won't deny that.
There are one or two that stray from the main formulae but those mainly gets overshadowed quick.
 
I've seen that trend too, especially when I go to the gaming section of YouTube. I think it's because that GMOD and these other titles are popular at the moment and people want to join in on the fun. Not to mention that a lot of big YouTubers like to play some of these games as well, making them even more interesting to play. As for me, I would never record a gameplay just because it's popular. I'd have to actually like the game to record, that's why a few of my first gaming videos on my channel were games that I recorded from the PS2.
 
I am a huge sports fan but was never able to play. So my channel is sports gaming videos mostly. I just play what I like and hope it catches on.
 
I have to agree, it does get annoying after a while seeing the same game over and over again
 
That's why the gaming-related channels out there who do something different will flourish once people get sick of CoD, Minecraft and GMod... Imagine having whole generation of people getting bored of the same 3 games, and your channel contains a treasure trove of interesting but lesser-known games!
 
I've gotten requests for MC on my page, I mean I like MC, but I think most people get the picture with it by now. But who knows, maybe sometime in the future I'll cave and do one or two.
 
I see your point. A lot of videos revolve around Minecraft and GMOD but that's because a lot of people watch videos like that. I myself have a gaming channel but right now I am doing Destiny videos.
