I've Got It
I'm just posting a quick article stating my opinion on advertisements and asking others to post theirs. This isn't a debate on whether or not ads should be on YouTube, but rather if Ads benefit small channels. I personally think they do to an extent and should be enabled but only the advertisements that appear on the side of videos not the In-Stream ones. Monetization enables the user to use custom thumbnails and countless other features but the in-stream ads the play before videos can decrease viewership, as the view isn't registered until the actual video is played for a few seconds. Also people could get distracted or leave or not be willing to invest a couple seconds waiting for a video they're watching on a wim. Small channels should also definitely not trying to be making as much money as possible from the start, as it is not the correct way to start off YouTube in my opinion.
