A tip to get more Subs and Views using Twitter

I went ahead and peeked. The price is... interesting. If you're small it's still $10/mo. I've seen this kind of marketing. It's a step above the get rich quick scheme's way of marketing. And it does work. The question is, how do others get viral? There's gotta be 20,000 other people doing this same thing.

I don't think it's bad if you're JUST sending them 1 message when they follow you back. I think it IS bad if you're sending them a message every 5 minutes or even every other day saying to go check out your site.

OMG... now I wanna go find them all. It's probably like a giant game of Pokemon. Gotta follow them all. XD

EDIT: Researched up. Apparently Twitter does have following limits as well, probably to prevent a ton of people from DMing a ton of people with their links.

There is another site called crowdfire where you can actually send the DM to new followers for free. I do agree that there are lots of people doing this. I've followed a few people on twitter, and got a DM to check out their youtube. Personally, I don't like it, but I'm gonna try crowdfire to see how it goes. It seems crowfire limits you to 25 followers a day, unless you upgrade to a full version, but I heard you don't want to follow more than 50 people a day.

I think this might be good, but only a small boost to your channel. SEO seems like the big thing to me. I am experimenting with a few different channels, on some videos I get no views at all, on others, I get like 5 views a day. On all my channels, the views come mostly from search results.

If you do, be sure you know the Twitter limits first if you do them manually.

And honestly, if you are going to do this, I hate seeing spammers on Twitter that act like bots. At least connect with those that try to connect with you.

Yea, I am aware of the limits. I think I will only try it for a bit to see if it helps. He claims to have gotten 200 subs, so I'll see. It does depend on the content, and I am still trying to find my voice. I am not just trying to get random subs at this point, I just need some contant viewers that will help me see what I am doing wrong, and what I am doing right. I hate this spam myself, and I have NEVER looked at anyone's channel who DMed me on twitter.

Crowdfire lets you know when you have hit your limit. Plus, the twitter limits factors in how many you follow and unfollow during the day.

I agree. If your intent is to just get numbers, then it's pointless and silly. However, I've had a lot of people respond back saying they will gladly check out my video. When they do, I respond back so they don't think it's just spam. That's the key. You have to make it social. I've been building a following this way.

Technology is great, but person-to-person is even better. Always think beyond the keyboard (as someone on here posted once)
This is definitely best practice, I responded to an automated message and the person didn't get back to me so I kinda want to unfollow :/

This could be a useful tool for somebody who just got started and need to break the 100 sub mark. I feel that after I broke the 100 sub barrier I was more likely to have my videos be given the time of day. But if you are over 100 and just want a quick boost I do not know if this is the best practice for quality views/subs. Either way there is no such thing as bad publicity though.

I actually disagree. When someone sends me a DM telling me to check out their youtube or something, I usually just end up deleting it. It is really spammy in my eyes. I end up not really interacting with them and it just ends up as a disengaging follow anyway. I think it is more important to get followers that interact with you than just followers. Also, if you have a high follow ratio to followers, people do know that you are just following tons of people. This doesn't give you a very good rep on twitter. Hope this helps someone XD

You don't use your main Twitter account to do this. You use promotional ones specifically for marketing and advertising your content. If they want to follow your main twitter account they can and that's where you can build that relationship with the person and engage with them.

The only way a promotional account would be able to engage with its followers is by getting directly tweeted at by being tagged. Even then that can be lost fairly easily with all the follow back notifications.

Doubtful. I'm at over 100. It hasn't made too much a difference.

From what I understand the threshold is 1,000 subs.
