Hi there,Hey guys,
So I know I have been doing this for a long time, I also get comments about it from friends. And a few people on here have also told me that I happen to do this quite a lot. In my videos (mostly one's I deleted due to a much wanted "fresh Start"), I happen to say "um" and "uh" quite often. I don't do this intentionally, as I do this when i talk regularly most of the time. And was hoping some people could give advice on how to stop my self from doing this? I have had people saying "write scripts!" Well, I would, but I don't for three reasons.
1) Coming up on the spot makes me feel more creative in my videos.
2)Most of the time, if it's related to the game(specifically single-player) You need to play it before knowing some knowledgeable things to say. So it's not as immersive for you to play.
3)It doesn't feel "natural"
So if anyone could leave ANY advice whatsoever I would really appreciate it!
Thanks everyone, and love you long time,
Tyler.

Name's Morphologis, and I've had quite a bit of experience in professional voice over work and live shoutcasting. Subduing the "um" issue is something every working professional has had to overcome at some point or another, and we all do it still once in a while.
The best way to overcome this is to have a buddy who genuinely cares about your work take a look at your video critically, and point out to you every time you use filler words like "um" or "er." Every time you do this, you will be come more and more conscious of your usage, because usually it occurs involuntarily when our mind starts working slower than our words.
The second way to resolve this is to just practice. Every time you do, you'll improve more and more with organizing thoughts as you speak, so that words come out fluidly and smoothly. I encourage you to keep at it, however hard it may at first seem. You will get better, so long as you take the time to look at your work objectively and criticize yourself, and are willing to accept criticism.
I hope this helps, good luck to you!
