A Bit of Help, Anyone?

Liking YTtalk
Hey guys,
So I know I have been doing this for a long time, I also get comments about it from friends. And a few people on here have also told me that I happen to do this quite a lot. In my videos (mostly one's I deleted due to a much wanted "fresh Start"), I happen to say "um" and "uh" quite often. I don't do this intentionally, as I do this when i talk regularly most of the time. And was hoping some people could give advice on how to stop my self from doing this? I have had people saying "write scripts!" Well, I would, but I don't for three reasons.

1) Coming up on the spot makes me feel more creative in my videos.
2)Most of the time, if it's related to the game(specifically single-player) You need to play it before knowing some knowledgeable things to say. So it's not as immersive for you to play.
3)It doesn't feel "natural"

So if anyone could leave ANY advice whatsoever I would really appreciate it!

Thanks everyone, and love you long time,
Tyler.

I do the exact same thing but mines "er" all the time. I think if that is you...then there is nothing you can do to stop it. I suppose it just comes with time when you start rambling xD
btw how do you add the goals thing properly, i have to manually change mine in my signature lol

Don't just talk about the game. Talk about yourself.

This gives you much more content to fill and you will be much more familiar with the subject, thus eliminating many filler words like 'um'.

maybe as you do it more often you will be able to talk more "fluently" if thats even a word. so that you won't be saying um as much? i ain't no doctor but thats what i think

figured I would tag both of you when I mention this. This is common and I use to do it a lot to when I first started, I believe the fact that we do it is because of nervousness because I use to be nervous when I would upload because I didn't know how people would react/comment but everyones different and it could be a variety of issues, the way I ended up stopping was just getting use to my channel/audience and over time as I talked everything was ok.

To do the goal, you need to purchase it form the virtual YTT store for 25 YTcash/month. And then go change it in your personal settings.

Also, than you to everyone. This advice should help perfectly. I'll keep trying to get better with the commentary. ^.^[DOUBLEPOST=1408298403,1408298290][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's good to know. And congratulations on getting over and beyond that.

Also one other question, is how did you add your Steam? I wouldn't mind linking my Steam to my posts.

Cutting it in editing. Sometimes you can't stop it if you doing improv. Editing it is easier with audio as people edit out ums and ahs from interviews on the radio all the time. I know because I have the job of doing that for my local radio station.

I did that more often in my earlier videos, but I found out that the more I talked and recorded, the better I got at it. Maybe all you need is a little practice
