$8 a Month for Ad Free Youtube

I like the YouTuber's ads.. I've found some neat youtubers through them! =( Hopefully they don't go away completely..I'm sure Google has thought about this, although the whole thing seems a bit geared towards larger channels. That makes sense since larger channels have an audience that YouTube can potentially make a pretty large bit of money from... It just sorta stinks for newbies though.. Argh...Why didn't I start this channel a few years ago? : P

Perhaps you could use an ad promoted video in place of your channel introduction video??? Or maybe an Intro before your video that is about 5 seconds with info about tours etc the YouTuber is going on?

if consumers pay for an ad free experience, I expect absolutely no Ads to be presented to the consumer. Period

There used to be a 3 second intro video that could be uploaded and put in front of all of your videos. I could see that being used as a channel ad.. I can't find where this feature is anymore, but it's probably somewhere in the dashboard still... If they get rid of Youtube ads, then hope they add more ease to the setup of making video cards; they need a button to "update all cards with this website link." That would be neat... I also kind of wish we could select which cards pop up with a "shout-out" that looks like an ad.. It's kind of weird that although we might be moving away from YouTube ads, it sort of seems like we're making more and more of our own ads on our videos to keep people on a channel..

I guess time will tell us everything! =)

I find it a little funny that at the same time YouTube is being criticized for having ad-like content (product reviews, for instance) that they are starting to be criticized for offering a business model to get rid of ads.
