YouTube Thumbnails - No waiting time anymore if you are a YouTube Partner

Oh man, I'm so tempted. Don't really fancy the idea of ads, but I really really want custom thumbnails- they look awesome!!! Soooooo tempted.......... *Stares at monetonize button* Ads... but THUMBNAILS!!! Ads... thumbnails...? Ads.... Thumbnails! Argh!

You don't need to monetize anything. Besides, if you did you would be making pennies and not worth your time. I've never monetized, and yet I got all the perks the big boys do. ;)

Ooh really? How do you get the partnership without monetonizing? I just want the thumbnails- is there a way to get them without ads?

I'm a little surprised by this change. I expect to see more random cleavage-in-thumbnail videos once again if this is for any brand new channel. :cautious2:

Luuuckkkkyyyy.
The old way used to catch three points in the video where I am making the worst faces, lol. No wonder no one clicked on them.

The three frames are from 25%, 50%, and 75% if you care.

Oh well, didn't do much of a difference to me anyway :p

If you invest the time, they can really pay off. Definitely is a pain getting a good template finalized, though.[DOUBLEPOST=1365728489,1365728420][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes, you can be an adsense partner without enabling ads on your content. It is under your channel settings to completely turn off ads on the videos. (doesn't effect the area around the video)
