Youtube Partnership : Full or not?

Full YouTube Partners have access to ALL of the benefits of being a network partner... banner, shows, additional monitization options, etc.

Correct except Shows, legacy partners never got access to Shows automatically unfortunately.
"They also have a channel manager who is an employee of YouTube to address specific concerns (copyright, etc)."

Only a few hundred high end partners have partner managers at YouTube. No requirements to be eligible they state though.

Note: technically there is a 4th partner type, where you only monetize a single video... super edge case.

IVP (Individual Video Partnership) was discontinued sometime late 2011 when they started rolling out monetization to all your videos to select non-partners at the time.

Partner managers: does anyone in the program have extra email support then? I've heard some confusion on the point and this might clear it up. Also a few days ago all full youtube partners were showing up on social blade as being in a specific network related to their name... Since changed back to blank. Any idea what was up with that?

For the IVP, didn't know that, thanks. YouTube website talks about it in a few places that seemed to indicate that it was still an operational program.

All the original YouTube partners were linked to their own CMS, some had limited access and some had full. Maybe that explains it ;)

Partner Managers help grow your channel and you can most likely meet them in real life, they can also set you up for a lot of additional resources on YouTube (so channel/content optimization basically) and obviously 1:1 support.

Yeah Shane right. Legacy partners have their own Content Manager account although it was also displaying that claimed by notice for users with just monetization enabled so it was a glitch I believe

False...

(mutters about people who don't know what they are talking about)

All right. There are three types of Partnership.
1) Partner with a network. Obviously not what we're talking about.
2) AdSense Partner (I estimate 95%+ of channels partnered with YouTube are this)
3) Full YouTube partnership.

It is important to note that there are no good, official names to differentiate between #2 and #3, so it is easy to get confused. "Full" and "AdSense" are my terms as they best describe the differences.

AdSense Partners are the majority. They are automatically offered partnership, and can monetize videos. Have access to some features (such as custom thumbnails and unlimited uploading) but not all features. Features are given out based on channel standing and length you've been active.

Full YouTube Partners have access to ALL of the benefits of being a network partner... banner, shows, additional monitization options, etc. They also have a channel manager who is an employee of YouTube to address specific concerns (copyright, etc). In all of these ways, they are similar to a network. They also get invited to training sessions (real life) and other YouTube sponsored events. They can use colab spaces for free around the world, which have software and gear for free as well. How do you become one? Wait for them to contact you. I had a friend contacted years ago when he was small (~1k subs) and is one today... his channel never took off, but he still is years later and gets invites to previously mentioned events. Gaming channels are almost never picked. I am fairly sure that is due to the gray copyright fair use they are under, YT isn't willing to take the risk when they have networks that will take the risk for them.

Bam. Information bomb. Enjoy. If you appreciated this, like the post or throw me some some YT cash or something. And for the love of cake and kittens please try to not spread misinformation... accidentally or otherwise.

AWwwww finally getting some info I can use. I guess I fall under the "adsense catagory" striving for "full partnership" I get 10K to 20K views a day, I have over 120 videos uploaded and I upload a new one at least every 2 weeks but I've gotten no "full partnership" offers yet....could I/should I ask for one? I received a partnership offer from Fullscreen but still confused as whether I should or not. Thanks a lot I found your info very helpful so far. By the way my success was all accidental all I was doing was using YT to store my videos.

Unfortunately, direct YouTube partnerships are pretty much non-existent for people to receive these days. First, it's invite only (always has been) and you would need to be huge on an almost astronomically impossible level or be very wealthy. If you happen to ever get that huge or rich, you'll be requesting access to the advanced CMS rather than a traditional partnership.

That process can be started here: www(DOT)youtube(DOT)com/content_id_signup

I guess I misunderstand..According to my Account Status I am a Partner but I thought there was another level called "Full Partner" I must explain I probably seem like a dummy but despite my success I have not had the time to get into the nuts and bolts of this whole YT business thing. Like I said I fell into it but I've been busy with building an addition on my house and I'm doing the work myself from drawing the plans, applying for the permits and doing the actual building. Consequently all my time is spent on the computer researching everything, learning building codes, how do do certain things etc. I'm just recently getting into the YT mode..
