Call me crazy..

rMBP with 8GB RAM.
Blue Yeti USB microphone.
Connected Xbox 360 controller.
Does it get the job done? Yes.
Is it a pain? Yes.

I use a PC Audio Labs computer with Cubase AI, a Steinberg UR44 audio interface, and a beta sm58 for my mic to record the audio. I use my PS4 video capture feature for gameplay footage and then edit the audio and video together. For music I use a webcam and My audio setup.

Laptop is a hp with AMD A8-6410 APU clocked at 2.00ghz
blue ice microphone
logitech m235 wireless mouse
kitsound hive wireless spearks

In the mean while I'm here sitting with a ASUS N76V laptop with a Logitech G430 headset and G300 mouse.

For me my main bit of cit is my dslr' microphone and tripod. I can't afford any lighting set ups at the moment so I have to rely on the sun in my videos. Even so you can do alot with little equipment.

I posted in here a while ago (March 2014 - on page 2 of this thread) and things have changed a little since then.

Full Setup:
2013 27" iMac - Top Spec - 3.4GHz i7 - Nvidia GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB
2x KRK Rokit 5 G3's
Blue Yeti Mic + Scissor Arm
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014 Mac US
Razer Deathadder 2013
Razer Goliathus Control Extended

I also have a Late 2014 MacBook Pro Retina (Basic Spec, 2.6GHz dual-core i5 turbo boost to 3.1GHz, 8GB Ram, Intel Iris Graphics) which I use for University work while in the lecture rooms and such.

I've also moved to University hence the different desk/area for the setup and the removal of the 32" TV which I used as a second monitor to the iMac.
