Why would I ever want a network partner??

As for me, Im still negotiating a contract that will suit my needs...but at this point, other than protection from click bombing..im not sure what other features would actually excite me to join a network..custom banners now are void because we will all be switching over to one channel design soon and custom thumbnails are provided when you monetize with adsense. I wouldnt say in particular that you earn more with a network unless you negotiate a good contract..with that said, a good contract is only negotiable if you have a certain amount of views which puts you in a position to actually negotiate.

A plus with joining a network though especially with fullscreen, you get a a huge audio library and support from partner managers. Other than that..I hardly think its anything to shout about. >.<
I agree with some facts that you have stated but does adsense currently offer you support because i could of sworn when i visited your channel it wasn't a small one and what partner perks do you look for exactly?? Youtube enables certain features at different times and unfortunately we have no say so and things can change at any givin time sometimes with or without notice.

TONIO!!!!!! ^_^ well to be honest..adsense doesnt really give any perks to medium sized channels like mine...I think those who really get good perks are ones who are really big with over 100k subs and above. With that said, I look at signing over to a network like signing my soul away for some odd reason. Hence in my last few posts about fullscreen partnership was probably fenced over to a less positive note. With adsense, your account is yours, you only share revenue with YouTube, but with a network it goes 3 ways, hence if you are talking about earnings, I can't say for sure, but I think you earn more being and indie channel. I recently got an offer from Stylehaul and I've been emailing both stylehaul and fullscreen to get the best bet and Stylehaul shares 50/50 with fixed cpm which is higher then your current cpm but it is shared 3 ways nevertheless.

So if you are going to sign with a network, I think it is always more advisable in terms of earnings that you calculate your current earnings compared with what you would get with a network and do the math from there. As for me, earnings do matter in a sense other than protection and so forth, because I think content creators put in alot of effort in their videos and should be paid no less than to what they are entitled. It really differs from each individual. I think if you are a small channel looking for better opportunities to gain more exposure, then its great to join a network. But as for me, even without a network, I've been gaining a steady growth, that's why i made it really clear to the network managers I was negotiating with that with or without them, I am still doing okay.

I think it really boils down to individual preference. :D

For some reason I had custom thumb nails and banners before I even joined Creator X. I mainly thought Creator X would have different ads, promote content, or give extra features. I'm not sure exactly what extra features I got because I seemed to already have them while I was with AdSense. Fullscreen and Creator X do have Gorilla campaigns which generally pay pretty well, but you usually have to advertise something before one of your videos.

Your general CPM is also likely to be higher because networks will give you better adverts often premium adverts that will generate more money, even after you split a % with them, if not hardly anyone would bother partnering with networks.

I'm not sure if I get any better ads or not... I did a check on my videos after I was partnered and seemed to get the same ads as before when I originally uploaded the videos. Maybe that's just what they show me though, I guess it's possible that different people will see different ads based on their search habits.

I absolutely have to agree with you i love that you worded what you had to say so powerfully and i see what your saying and i started first making videos in 2010 and then i decided i wanted to come back because i loved making videos especially that deals with tech now it's 2013 youtube has done all these changes so most people feel like it's only best to join a good network with the way youtube is running things. It all depends on the channel and what the person is looking for some of them just sign there souls away without reading the contract lol thats a scary feeling. I know thats right if fullscreen can offer you 70 percent of the share and 30 to the network i say why not join because adsense only gives the publishers 68 percent and then the rest to google etc. I am trying to see what my partner manager says as soon as she gets back in contact with me at fullscreen so we can negotiate as well about what i consider to be a decent share as i work my a** off excuse the language and im sure others out there too so they want it to be KNOWN.:)

make sure to always read that contract throughly and stay updated with your networks website for more information and so if there are changes most likely they updated so you can see it and i know my network states you will recieve premium ad's from both there network and google ad's sales team i found that on the page and when i signed up in the welcome information it explains to the users and me what exactly to do so you can increase revenue.:)

Can you explain why joining a network to get extra features is a dumb idea u say???
Why sign away 20, 30, 40 percent of your earnings to a Network that you don't need? YouTube is just going to keep releasing features to partners directly with YT as they've planned for ages.

Getting a fancy banner above your channel doesn't improve it or help it grow.. maybe 3 years ago but not now

definitely!! I still am waiting for fullscreen to get back to me too..I think its the weekend so no replies...last email was on saturday. But always work with what is best for you..Even when i started out being a small channel with little to no subbies, I never negotiated my worth because today you could be small on YouTube, who knows what would happen tomorrow. :D
I bet you would be really big in your genre too because you give really great tips :D I watched quite a number of your vids last night :D

Yeah THEY HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR A WHILE!! By then if things go as planned with the network i can decide wether or not to stay or not but partnership offers better tools and transparency also with great high quality content. When you join adsense google takes there cut as well so what are you getting at and in most cases im sure people can negotiate with the networks if they feel they deserve a higher percentage. Also when i was a regular youtube partner i had access to the banner, thumbnails etc so i don't get it i had my account for 3 years to date.:)
