Which network should I choose ?

Posting Mad!
Hey people, I will soon apply to be partnered but I actually dont know what is the best network for me.

90% of my videos are gaming, so I though Machinima/Curse (Union for Gamers) or TGN could be nice.

But I saw "Viso" is a good network too and allows their partners to use Universal Music Songs? Is that true ? Well, I want to upload content related to gaming (if possible with popular music)

Thanks for reading me!

Personally, I wouldn't go with Machinima or TGN. I haven't really heard many good things about them from partners in the network.

For Machinima, they have low CPMs and long lock-in contracts, while they may help in some areas in promotion, they don't really help much with anything else. Also, their hub channels are saturated with content and not much of it is actually viewed.

TGN also has low CPMs, some members here on the forums have complained that after their split, they haven't received more than a $2 CPM. The only advantage being with them really is the fact they have no lock-in.

From what I have heard Curse is alright, they offer you a 90/10 rev share and I believe they still offer their no lock-in contract. Not really sure about CPMs, since all I knew before was that they offer a $3 fixed CPM and older partners will still be able to relieve that if chosen too however they are phasing it own soon and all new partners will receive the rev share. ;)

You should take a look here, it might help you: http://yttalk.com/threads/list-of-networks-and-their-requirements.48515/ :)

Don't limit yourself to just these 3 networks, look around a bit and do some research and find the one which offers what you want from a network.

I think most of the networks are great I created new gaming channel I upload full gameplay videos and I am thinking to join n4gtv network it is Make studio sub-network and I think it is good :)

Hi, Where is Shane when you need him lol. :)

Haha, if you can help me a bit (Shane) , I would be grateful. I am quite lost with all these potential networks... I just want to be able to upload gaming content and if it is possible some musics from Universal (because I used music owned by Univerval Music Group in 2 of my videos (gaming montage) )

I wasn't aware of any networks that allow you to use UMG songs.

I recommend you talk to a few networks, see what they offer you, and chose the one that bests fits you and your aims with YouTube.

Fullscreen and Maker both have deals with Universal Music to allow cover artists to monetize songs in the Universal catalog. In order to do this at Fullscreen, you need to be in FAM (Fullscreen Artist Mix). It is not available to non-FAM partners. I'm not sure if Maker is restricting the catalog-you would have to email them and ask about it.
