Where have the days gone when......?

If Youtube can recognise cheaters, video thiefs and spammers and disvalue them. I see nothing wrong with this offer that everyone can be a partner. More content for Youtube viewers :) more entertainment :) more people inspired to to stuff

I get YouTube is changing and for so many these days partnership is all about the money. This is clearly obviously as partner feature compared to a non partner are very minimal. All im saying is back 2-3 years ago Partnerships has to be EARNED nowadays you can make a channel upload 5 videos and no matter the views you can have it partnered the same day. For me to get approved my my partnership direct with youtube I worked and worked for 4 months straight, then once I hit 7000 views a day I was approved and felt I had earned the right to be called a Partner!

If you feel the need to feel special and unique - you can do that by negotiating a better deal with Network than the regular Youtubers. It should give the feeling that you special when you see that Network values your content and gives you better deals/splits. I just do not understand why you need that formal Title to be special, different/better from the others?

That is irrelevant, money is NOTHING to do with this thread. This thread is all about how having a YouTube partnership and earning it was an achievement. Now it means absolutely nothing. Hence why we HAVE thousands of channels on youtube who are partnered getting next to no views a day and a dead in the water channel.

There are still fair amount of Networks with high requirements where you have to earn partnership to get there.
