When Adblock takes over

also not everyone uses ad block just for youtube some sites that some people watch like anime on have so many ads that it kills the video feed and other places that spam there ads so hard that its just sad not saying ad block is great but some sites need a spack

On some websites the ads are out of control. You get banners with loud music, and no way to disable it. Sometimes you go to a website to download something, and all you see is "download" buttons. You don't know which one to click. Some ads have bright flashing colors, or nude pics, things that distract you from the website content, or things that would make it embarrassing if someone saw you. Then there are some ads that actually give you viruses and malware. Even on youtube, sometimes you get a 30 second ad for a 16 second video. Plus you usually end up watching the same ad over and over again. If they didn't push ads so hard, there wouldn't be a need for adblock. They need to add some laws/regulation to ads, things like, not allowing flashing colors, loud music in banners. Not allowing misleading banners, etc.

Simple. Don't support those websites that abuse the consumer with too many or obnoxious ad formats.

You mean when websites can't make money anymore? Well, when adblock takes over all your favorite sites are going to disappear.

Channel 4 on demand managed to find a way to get round adblock. There's no way that I know of to skip the ads before their videos play, I don't see why Youtube couldn.t use the same tech.
