What Is YouTube Partner Promotion?

Same thing happening to us. Since may 15th, 1,4% of views come from "YouTube Partner Promotion". It has never happened before to us, and we've been partnered for a year and a half, first with adsense, and since august through The Orchard (music network).

Does anyone know if there's a threshold to start getting those views?
That day we had an all time peak 17.000 views. Maybe it's got to do with that?
