What is a good audience retention %?

Mine is averaging 45% - 65% on a 4 minute video. I figure if you are only watch 2 minutes of my video, why am I make my videos 4 minutes? I know the attention span of a kid (my audience) is short so pack what you want in the beginning and accept they are going to move one. Just gear your videos to your retention time.

Mine has been between 32% and 34% the whole time. I get a lot of views from suggested videos, people come in and watch the beginning and then go somewhere else for the most part. I get some subscribers out of it, but not nearly as many subscribers per view as most other channels.

do you post your videos on reddit?

Because of this I checked my audience retention.. So I got an average of 43% general

The intro is 93%
The 3 min video is 49%
While the 2 min video is 31%

:)

So the thing that you share will be the new fad and the thing that is in between is the one forgotten.. :) So I won't upload much.. Maybe once a week is good and then will share and share first and continue what I'm currently doing right now.. :)

I've tried several times in several places (videos, horror, wtf, and whatever subreddit matches the material I took from). Most of them are almost immediately downvoted, probably at least partially because of self-promotion. The others have gotten up to 8 upvotes.

I'm still getting my head around how reddit works, i.e certain subreddits don't mean what the title says, and it is very misleading at times -_-
