Hey everyone, I was just curious what a good audience retention % is?

I like when mine have 198%.... This means people are going back to one part of a video. I only have this on a couple videos. Most of mine are like 39% or less

This is highly dependent on the length of the video, which is why everyone should check the "relative audience retention" in analytics for each of their videos.
This tool compares your audience retention on a video to videos of similar length.

I personally find retention well over 50% on my longer videos to be pretty good. For videos under 3 minutes I shoot for 70%+
But more important, I look at relative retention and see if the videos are performing above or below average for similarly lengthed content.

Mine varies as well, mostly above 50% though since I always try my best to keep my videos as short as possible. I'm currently experimenting with inserting cards suggesting my other videos near the area where most people stop watching my videos, so if they go, at least they might go to my other videos.

Perfect! My average is 51% over all of my videos, but even some of my longer videos are up to 60%! I'm happy with that but I want to climb to 70% average!

mine also is about 40-55 % depend the video.I have see that as bigger the audience redention is getting more views at long time.very important.
