VISUAL.
I use a Nikon D7100 for video, no external microphone just yet (may invest in a RODE mic here shortly...) Simple Recorder for short voice overs I do, and lastly, Open Broadcast (OBS) for a screen recorder. OBS allows you to record in 1080p+ along with your webcam. I use it a lot when I'm doing Photoshop speed edits for my second lesser-used channel.
The only thing I dislike about the D7100 is although the camera quality is beyond amazing, it doesn't have a flip out screen. Which isn't the end of the world. However, I'm also looking into tethering software (Smart Shooter 3 specifically) so that I can see what I'm recording in real time through my computer screen.
Oh! And I also use my iPhone 7+ for vlogs.. which I only have 1 of at the moment.

For Camera I went Nikon D3200 because it has an audio in over the T3i... You have no idea how important that feature is. If you also have a little more to spend, get the D5200 because of the articulating screen. That is pretty important for YouTube.
For screen recording I just use Quicktime on my mac.
