For recording my gameplays I am using NVIDIA Shadowplay, but not sure if that's what You're asking

I use Open Broadcasting Software (OBS) and it is great. I have used shadowplay in the past, but if you want to record audio on a separate track, then it can be annoying.

I'm going to get a Canon T3i does anyone else have one?

I use a Conon 60D together with an external mic (shure Sm58). I have a gopro and a Canon G15 as Backup. I'm ahuge fan of Canon so i can only support you in this decision

if its for pc i use mirilis action its not free but is worth the payment or thers shadow play

i have a Nikon d5100 that i record video on. i use the zoom h1 to record audio and i use another editing software called wondershare/ filmora to record my pc screen (i used it before to edit when i started out)
