I never used to be into mac's but then after my PC crashed and I had to get a new computer and all I tried it. I still have a PC but I do most my editing on the MAC now.
Yes Mac! I get some much hate from so many people for owning and using a Mac, but I can genuinely say after editing for over 10 years, Mac is the way forward.

For the small amount of cash YouTube makes me, I can't justify the expense of a modern Macintosh, seeing as how except for Apple's proprietary mobo chip coding, you are now basically looking at a PC based on a proprietary OS. Same processors as PCs; same graphics cards as PCs.

I went up to the Apple store in the weeks leading up to my birthday, to see if after configuring a Mac Pro (I will not edit on a laptop any longer; it tends to burn them out rather quickly, and I do both audio and video production), it might be worth it to ask my other half for one as a birthday present.

The £8,939.00 before VAT price tag quickly changed my mind on that front; that's over half a year's full household income!
