Other Notes : I am planning on getting a m.2 drive in this thing, and upgrading to a 2080.
This is my second post to this thread, and I am one computer forward from my original spec post. I'm not going to give my current spec, as I had to go backward instead of forward when I built the computer which replaced the AMD FX chip based one.
I'll still be a few families behind on CPU when I give the next spec set (either Haswell, Broadwell or Skylake/Kaby Lake family); but instead of using a standard desktop chip, I'll be trying a low-GHz, multi-core server chip with a minimum of 64GB of RAM in the DIMM slots. I build my own machines by default, as I am sure many other users here do.
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k

Any Other comments: I believe that chassi is very important when choosing a computer for editing. I chose a very quiet one so that it doesn't interfer with the audio when I record voice. Plus I chose a chassi with as little lights as possible so it doesn't interfer with lighting in videos.
