You can go the route I chose by getting the FX8320 CPU and Radeon R7 260x GPU. Not too expensive like the rest, but just enough to create and render clean gameplay videos at a fast amount of time.

I am not sure what you're willing to spend. But here is good build for your needs:

Case: NZXT Source 530
Cpu: Intel Core i5-4670 Haswell Quad-Core 3.4GHz LGA 1150
Gpu: EVGA GTX 760 2gb
Ram: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)
PSU: CORSAIR CSM Series CS650M 650W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified

and lastly you need the motherboard: ASUS Z97-P LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

All in all the build will run you about 1,550 USD but you will be good to go for a few years.

ive got an AMD six core processor (FX6100) along with an Nvidia GTX 760 Gigabyte Windforce wich has CUDA cores so along with the six core processor it renders realy fast :) and its still not that expensive.

15" MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display (Mid 2012)
CPU: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB & NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

I wanted something that balances power, portability and price. I picked this one up for $2279 at the start of 2013. Though the specs aren't the biggest, the optimisation and the power that I get from slim line lappy is pretty decent.

CPU: Intel i7-2600
Motherboard: Intel H67
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Storage: 2TB 7200rpm HDD
GPU: ATI RADEON HD6570

It's like 3 or 4 years old and I should really get a new one because it's so slow in rendering 3D and stuff.
The GPU doesn't even support raytracing in AE.
