Hey Symph I am just starting out and I know my video skills aren't up to where I want them but I was wanting a review on my lastest "music video" ie me singing a cover and what your thoughts on a direction a good music channel should go. It's always my goal to improve my audio and video each time I make a video so your review would be appreciated as one musician to another :) Thanks! The video is in my signature :)
 
Guys... seriously, This has degraded into silliness. I know I engaged with Aaron at first, but I was wrong to do so and I have appropriately stopped the engagement, I was also merely trying to defend my credibility, but now this is just a name calling match and it's taking up pages of my thread. Guerilla I get where you're coming from, taking games too seriously certainly does seem pathetic to people like you and me, but on the flip side I've been interested in many similar things to the point of being proud of myself for doing good at them. It's just different strokes for different folks, the main point everyone needs to get from this is if you ask for a review in this thread be prepared for whatever you get, it may boost your ego, it may tear it down, you just don't know so be ready for anything. As far as Aaron being a talentless hack or Frank being one, oh come off it guys. If people are watching Aaron's videos they have some appeal to some people, then that means what Aaron is doing has some merit even if I can't see why. And Frank? Pffft, I love most of GDP's videos, very creative guys.

Please don't continue fighting in my thread, it may bring views but it's cluttering up the thread and knocking it off it's format, which should just be reviews and responses.
 
Pathetic is such a harsh word but w/e. I dont take games serious btw, thats the whole point of my channel - to have fun.

Anyway I agree, jsut end the "we are better then you" arguments they're stupid.

You don't take anything seriously. But that's the point of this conversation, you're a sanitary napkin. If you would listen to reason, instead of attacking another guys art just because you don't make any, maybe someday, you'll feel some warmth in that coal pit you call your heart. Thanks Chris. But you didn't have to make up a reason fro Aaron to feel good about himself. After all he only uploads 20 minutes of meaningless drivel a week, gains traffic from Capcom's money, and monetizes his non-contributing videos to search engine "fans". Throwing around the word sellout, as if his very existence on ScreenCaptureUploadTube isn't selling out for CapCom, to YouTube where the only money he makes is from corporations ideas. Aaron doesn't have any perspective on the artists struggle, though he's willing to use his lack of experience as a foundation for telling people that are taking a shot at non-mainstream exposure to abandon their dreams. What a mensch.
 
I wouldn't call you an elitist if you wasn't one, but you are....every comment you write has at least one elitist remark about how your work is so much more important then mine (and that's putting it politely).

Sad thing is, if you tried what I do, you would get f**k all views and fans because your personality is horrible and your probley s**t at games.

Stick to a script, its what your best at! I'll just continue to be me, seems to be working so far! ;)

Also to end the "they only watch for the game, waaaaa QQ..etc" this is a recent comment I just got.

That sound like they just watch for the game and not me? mmmK ;)

I facepalmed so many times trying to read through this thread trying to read legit reviews from Symph anyway a mod could delete the petty arguing?

And didn't you ask me about my set up because you thought it would be cool to have the old video game let's plays on your channel?

Aaron E: Playing video games has become very strategic. And as a fellow gamer I see where you are coming from. But don't kid yourself its nothing like writing music. Or coming up with material for a video and what not. Not even the same ball park. And calling someone elses video/graphics garbage and name calling because they disagree with you is extremely childish. Like I said I get it man. I see where you are coming from. But that's not a good way to make friends here.

Ok, I feel we should do this publicly, even though it's kinda weird lol. But you say it's cocky, why is it cocky? I've told people I didn't like gameplays with no entertainment or editing value, I watched 3 minutes of his video and came to the conclusion it was going to be just that, I make no promises to watch any amount of time in this thread, and I have no intense interest in video games. They are cool sure, but I know little about them and couldn't care less to watch someone else play one no matter how skilled they are, so I told him THAT. It's a REVIEW thread, where I give MY OPINIONS. I sat through 3 whole minutes, that's like listening to a song, I realized it was not my thing, and not only that, state in my rules now that I MAY NOT WATCH THOSE KINDS OF VIDS. So, do you still think it was cocky? And if so why? Like I really want to know if it was, I just do not see how that was cocky.[DOUBLEPOST=1343370850][/DOUBLEPOST]Cause seriously think about this.
