So what is and isn't allowed?

Sorry I forgot to explain everything. You won't lose views. Put in the descriptions and tags after Youtube approves your video. :)

Wait, how won't you lose views? :wideyed2:

Normally it doesn't take Youtube very long to approve a video that Youtube is going to accept. 5 to 10 minutes isn't going to hurt your views. After the video is approved you need to add the description and tags.

Oh kk I get it now xP
And as far as pictures/video of celebrities, is that also against rules?

Yeah, waiting on the tags/description until after its approved sounds like a good idea. I've heard that some tags can trigger a video to be rejected for monetization. But who knows.

In my experience I've just had random videos be rejected. I never use copyrighted material in mine.

before i was a partner i would do two things for instant monetization.. lol im not sure if i should say this.. but hey.. 1.. i would make sure the file i was uploading had a simple name like family.mov or what ever.. and when i first uploaded it i would have it named.. having dinner with the family... it was usually instantly monetized.. i would then go back in and change all the info

Are you uploading the videos around the same time? I'm thinking maybe if I upload them at a different time the notice won't appear...I'll have to test it out

I initially just uploaded them individually as I made them. Some would get monetized, some wouldn't. (mostly would). I tried uploading all at the same time to see if that would make a difference (trying to cut down on the variables) but some would, some wouldn't.

Okay, I'm starting to get this auto-rejected stuff. So basically if the tags and/or description include something that's copyrighted (i.e. Far Cry 3) you'll get an automatic rejection letter.
Cool :crying:
