So my gaming channel is taking off... Partnership options (80k views per month)

It's really common to sacrifice revenue in a partnership, but it's your choice to do it. If you already have a thriving channel that is generating income, there's no reason to sign over any money unless you're getting value in return.

In terms of what benefit you actually see from partnershps other than being able to monetize gaming videos, there's not that many. Don't expect them to set up collabs for you-you have to do that on your own. And aside from having access to an internal forum within the network, you're pretty much on your own.
Wow, thanks for the info, both of you... as I said before, surprising and sorta pathetic.

Wow wish my channel took off as well as yours, I only started my youtube seriously for just about a month or 2 now and only 200 subs :/

Well I just typed out a nice reply with links but turns out I can't post them until I have 15 posts '>.<

Which I understand but is annoying. Look for update in first post of this thread.

Hello, I`m shane and I`m a recruiter for the Vultra Gaming Network.

so I think you could gain what you need through us , your choice though :p

So heres the answers to your questions:

  1. What do your CPM rates do thru out the year? (both for people with youtube limited partnerships and for people partnered with different networks) Presumably this is time time of year for higher rates (black friday, Christmas, etc) PM me if you don't want to say publicly. And I know they change over time - just trying to get a ball park.
(A) Vultra has some of the highest CPMs on YouTube because its not a sub-network of loads of other networks as many are. (maybe $2-$8)
  1. Do I have the right read on #4 above?
(A) Benefits of partnering with Vultra over someone else : We have our own dashboard,Hub Channels,Better chance of getting livestreaming than with other networks,24/7 support,Handbooks,Channel Optimisation,Vultra Forums and a Royalty free music and sound library!
  1. Any small networks I should look at that are actually decent people?
(A) Vultra ; Vultra is a network that was formed by the former CEO of Vexon after vexon decided to concentrate more on Music than Gaming!
  1. I'm looking for info about the 'full' youtube partnership - generally what they're looking for, when other gamers have gotten it in the past and their views/monthly views/subs at the time
(A) We`ve just brought the requirments down from 1250 views a day to 500 views a day!
For more info add shane.vultra on Skype or PM TheOfficialNedort on YouTube

I'd second giving Vultra a look, Shane has been a huge help and is a great guy.

  1. Niche is very good, if it's an iOS game there is boundless ad revenue that could be poured in
  2. Pretty sure it's 30k/mo views, not many care for subs now as it's so easy to manipulate.. Either way you qualify.
  3. I didn't know machinima owns rights to the content you produce.. No other companies do this, i'm surprised they do, and doubtful.
  4. TGN/SocialBlade would be the two most obvious
  5. I had the same question, it's no problem.. They can break it down per hour on vidxstats, again it's no problem.
  6. Nothing wrong with 1k-10k views per video
  7. Nope, most networks would love to see you have lots of videos.. Hedges risk and is better for ad placement
  8. I was under the impression that no networks own any rights to any of the video games. They allow you to preach the "fair use exception" which could mean you'll end up with a lawsuit; just ensure it has ample commentary.
  9. Ride the wave and hop on the partnership bandwagon now, no sense in waiting.
Although.. They youtube just removed subbox banner icons, which is one of the main reasons I wanted partnership..
