So I guess I'm a partner?

Additional branding options are no longer available if you became a Partner after April 12, 2012. YouTube are pushing to make more exclusive features available to everyone in the future.

So that explains why I don't see the banner configuration option under my channel settings anymore? I'm pretty sure I had the monetization option before April 12th, but I just never used it until now, or even verified my account until a few days ago.

You were never a Partner if you were originally invited to Monetize though. You still had to apply to become a Partner.

I became a partner after then with RPM, and I had all the branding including watch page icons...

Obviously lol

Hmm. I definitely remember looking at the application page wondering if I should fill it out, but it seems like the kind of thing I would have held back on until I had more content. Plus I never got a 'Hey, congrats, you're a partner' email.

I noticed you have that partner badge here. On his profile, Micheal says 'in order to get the badge you must be with a network at present (or at least have all the branding features unlocked)', so since I don't have the banner, that doesn't apply to me yet, does it?

Maybe the badge should say 'network partner' ;)

The whole partner thing has become wishywashy due to YouTube. Only as of March of last year are people who use AdSense considered partners. It has lead to loads of confusion.
