So I guess I'm a partner?

@ConnersCraft: I was under the impression the watch page icon was being decommissioned. Is that not the case? Are there some concrete stats on how useful that thing actually is? Personally, I don't think I've ever used it on other people's videos.
Yeah, it is pretty much pointless. Many partners don't even use it. I believe it still is fully offered though.

It's just confusing that it literally says 'Partner' in my account when I'm not fully.

So is partnership the only way to get banner? I mean it is not a huge deal, but I originally thought that once you active monetization you will get banner :/ How do you know which partnership to apply for?

Why do you need to be with a network to monetize those videos? Like if the game creator gives you permission, then there shouldn't be any problems right?
Yup. That is hard to do for a youtuber though. Most networks have some of these permissions already.

Interesting. So that's when companies like Fullscreen and the likes come into play?

At this point, I'm not too concerned about making money off of my videos, nor do I think I have the kind of content that merits enhanced exposure. I mainly want to figure out my direction, fine tune my craft and use a couple of features like custom thumbnails and video scheduling e.g., which I have already.

So it sounds like I'm not really missing out on anything important right now, as far as features on the YouTube site goes?
No really, just make sure you keep your channel clean, meaning if don't use copyrighted materials, including music and pictures. Because you might wake up one day are decide you want to be a full partner and that's a hassle. Oh, and make sure you upload what you really want to upload because removing videos will drop your view count. :)

So I looked into a bit more into partnership and found a comment saying that you don't make any revenue until your account is linked to Google AdSense. Is that true? I only have monetization activated. I haven't linked to Google AdSense yet.

I thought this is still relevant to this topic so I am making reply in here. If anyone thinks I should probably create a new thread, let me know ^O^"

You're a YouTube Partner. There's no such thing as "Half" or "full", the community made those terms up to identify who with and without branding options.

Additional branding options are no longer available if you became a Partner after April 12, 2012. YouTube are pushing to make more exclusive features available to everyone in the future.

Yes. All enabling monetization is doing is enabling google adsense. Adsense is where the ads come from that make you money.

I became a partner after then with RPM, and I had all the branding including watch page icons...

Create an Adsense account and link it in your monetization settings ASAP.
