Smosh Games Alliance FAQ

At this point it's hard to tell how good or bad of a network they are since they've yet to build a reputation. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it'll be pretty s****y. They're like RPM, they're targeting new, small, non-established channels. Why would you give someone like that a contract that benefits them? I think they're just going to get a 50/50 split or something. I would be cautious about joining.
Well their contract is better than RPM. I've heard it's 70/30, 1 year (for everyone?).
But yeah, since they pretty much accept everyone, this is probably a network to avoid. Though, they will have videos where they feature partners' channels/videos on their channel (kind of like socialblade, but probably better. Since it is smosh, they're probably better at showcasing videos than socialblade) so still there's some kind of potential promotion involved.

Really? Well, if that's so, I'd pretty much say take it. That's a very competitive rate, and one year is better than many other networks, which keep you for two or more. That's honestly surprising, but nice. It's cool that a network run by YouTubers would be one that offers good rates.

Though I forgot to mention SGA's payout threshold is $100 while RPM's is only $50.

If you're crediting RPM for having a low CPM rate, don't. They target new, impressionable users and give them contracts that they don't know are crappy. Plus, this gives them the mentality that they have to make a ton of money over this. I was never so focused on my view count until I got a partnership. If they get 1,000 views per month and get the standard $1 CPM, it'll take them 4 years at the initial rate to break that. Most will quit far before this, and will just move on from YouTube, allowing RPM to keep all the money. (imo)

I started hating Smosh because of this s****y free partnership. Now partnership is really useless..Unless normal people choose normal networks when they reach an ammount average vpd.

Wait, let me double confirm this. SGA is it a network made by Smosh?
Alloy is the Network, Smosh is a figure-head :|[DOUBLEPOST=1368873070,1368872923][/DOUBLEPOST]
