Good idea but you'd need a powerful machine to be able to do this, plus I edit my videos in Final Cut Pro I don't think it'll be possible on that.
Render while you edit!

You know, unless you had a beast PC your computer would lag too much to be able to render and edit at the same time, right?

I don't think my computer is beast.
I have a GTX770 graphics card which came out in 2013, 16 GB of RAM and Quad Core Processor. All the components I bought were used or just old.
But I can edit 1080p videos while rendering just fine. I guess if it was 4k I would have issue. But I use proxy files with 4k content when editing to streamline that whole process

Been thinking about building a render farm to free up my laptop while I edit. I'm a Premiere Pro user.
I have a whack of rack mount servers sitting on a shelf that I don't use in Web hosting production anymore and feel this would be a perfect use for them!
