Questions for ATV and RPM

Awesomeness TV seems like a better deal now up against RPM lol.

ATV is 55% gross / 2 year and RPM is 50% gross / 2 year (those under 2.5k monthly)

Both probably the same support wise..

Hmmm even though everyone seems to be bashing the hell out of ATV now...

Question... if I get partnered by RPM, would I be able to Monetize all my videos? They don't have songs or movie clips, just game footage with commentary.

Also I heard RPM is a 1-year contract? If I do decide to join and it sucks... 1 year does sound better than being stuck for 2 years...? I also heard when the contract ends you get paid whatever you managed to make if you didn't reach the 50?

I'm also curious. You said you had 200 videos. How is your view/sub rate?

And I do realize I have to do my own work to get channel exposure. I'm also not expecting view to suddenly skyrocket just because of RPM. I do know that much. The banner sounds cool though.

Also... I assume signing up has to be with your real name... not your Youtube persona name? And how safe is it to put your bank info on there?

I'm not sure. Depends on what licences RPM has. A lot of gamers are with RPM, so I doubt you will have any problem.

I heard the new RPM contract is 2 years. If you join and you are not satisfied, you are stuck with them until that contract is over. Sure, 1 year sounds better than 2-years, but 1-year is a long time to be stuck with a network you do not enjoy. Yes, when the contract ends, they will pay you whatever money you have acquired before the payment hold.

I get a subscriber for every 85 views on average.

Yes, you are correct. Even though RPM (and every network really) advertises video promotions, it is very rare and don't count on it. The banner is neat, but with the new layout change, there will no longer be a banner. The new layout will be forced sometime in the near future (I heard by June 1st).

Yes, you sign up with your real name. Your banking info is 100% secure.

Curious... if I sign up for them, and they email me the contract... I'm OK as long as I don't actually sign the contract, is that right? I'd like the chance to read it over before committing to anything, and if I don't like it, I don't sign it, and that be that, right?

Yup :) One you signed the contract, you are locked in with them. So be sure to read it and ask questions if you have any before you sign!

exclusive right to sell brand integration into videos (i.e., wearing something in, or putting a product into, a video) on Your Channels, subject to your written approval in each instance, except that you (but no other third party) may also find and sign your own brand integration deals (you keep all the money from deals you find and sign);

does that mean I have to wear a RPM or Maker shirt in my videos or flash a logo somewhere?

lol no. You don't have to promote you're with them at all.

so what does that paragraph mean?[DOUBLEPOST=1365745429,1365745290][/DOUBLEPOST]Also nowhere in the contract does it mention anything about backing you up with the while videogame liscense deal...
