PARTNER NETWORKS ON YOUTUBE!!!

For me youtube is about having others enjoy my art, music, performances etc... That comes first, but I cannot deny that money comes in a very close second. To be able to make a living as an artist is my dream, and with YouTube this dream is plausible. Perhaps it will never happen, but it's possible.

I know that there are people that game and "*****" and sellout, that's just part of the whole entertainment business. Be it plastic, visual, musical arts or what not. There are always people that will manipulate it. I think though that there is a place for "giving the people what they want" as long as you don't go over or forget your morals and values.

Does anyone know if i can create my own network with my channel thats already partnered so that i can get my other 2 channels partnered under my own network???

Here's an update guys. I emailed YouTube stating i have partnership on my fitness channel (TommyDamaniChannel) so i wanted my other channels partnered (TommyDamaniLIVE & TommyDamaniTUTORIALS) so that i can customise my thumbnails and make a professional banner and then BOOM my TommyDamaniLIVE is now partnered lol So there you go. (still waiting on the TommyDamaniTUTORIALS)

In an earlier post, I made a comment that i heard you cannot do that anymore so i didn't bother.. well it seems the information i was given was WRONG!

So what have we learned today? Screw what people say to you, go find out the facts for yourself.:)
It might be a co-incidence since in the last 2 weeks i've increased 100 subs but mehhh i'm partnered now and looking forward to my little partner star for this forum :wavespin:

That is a little different from what I thought you were wanting, I thought you wanted to create a network where you would be partnering other peoples channels and splitting revenues with them etc that route would likely take a whole lot more I believe with contracts and all sorts of legal stuff.

I am glad to see they sorted you out and I will add up your partner badge any moment :) Congrats man!

Yeah i wanted to network so that i could partner up my channels because the information i had was that you can't just 'partner' up your other channels anymore.. so thats why i inquired about the networking =p

Wuuuuuu awesome badge man =D Thank you!!!

thanks man :) i just thought it'd help a bunch of people :) only problem with youtube partner networks is that the majority are orientated around gaming, it'd be good to have some more vlog partner networks on this thread etc...
and I'm sure you'll be at the 500 subscriber mark soon enough - you might even get partnered ;)

The only reason that the majority of partnering networks are for gamers is because there is no other way that a gamer could be partnered.

You see, to qualify for a partnership there are requirements.
  • You need to have a solid fan base of at least 1000 people that watch your videos regularly.
  • You need to have lots of views on each video you put out.
  • Put out videos regularly.
  • And the most important one, you have to post your own work. Copyrighted material are not tolerated.
As a director, if I use copyrighted material in my videos, and the author/viewers report the video for copyright infringement, I will lose my partnership and my channel.

Since games are copyrighted, making videos with gameplay basically means you are using copyrighted material. This is the reason that the partnering networks are for gamers. Machinima, IGN and such are allowed to monetize for gaming content.

You can read more about it here: youtube/yt/creators/partner.html

You can also see that the first ground rule is to not post copyrighted material.

Vloggers, comedians, musicians and such have to apply through that page in order to be partnered. However, there are exceptions. I've seen lots of channels with 150ish subs and partnership.

Hope I wasn't too unclear. haha.

so YouTube don't give branding options anymore but they will still give them if you get partnered by on of these networks

I have a quick question. Is VidcastLLC a trustworthy network? I recently got an e-mail saying they wanted to work with me as a partner.
