New youtube mini update?

I noticed this too! It's pretty neat, it helps me avoid major clickbait sometimes too which I'm always for LOL
I wonder what point in the video plays... It doesn't SEEM to be the first few seconds of the video
Going back and looking at my videos and seeing what plays is actually quite amusing
 
Do you think this will hurt YouTubers? I'm wondering will it take away a lot of views for them or do you think this could possibly help them gain more views and subscribers?
 
I think its good as it will help avoid clickbait. I imagine it will make people work on their editing more though. If you just see 5 frames of the same face it will seem boring, so I imagine people will is pictures and special fx more.
