A good option would be getting a Zoom H1 Portable Recorder ($99) paired with a Sony ECMCS3 Clip Mic ($25)

Thank you for the tip. Righ now I think I will make my own lavalier. I saw some videos on how to create a good quality lavalier yourself. If in the long way it doesn't pay out, I will probably have to invest in better audio quality, and probably I will think about that Zoom with the Sony

If you're shooting and you're in a position where your camera doesn't have an audio input or you can't record into a computer then something like the Zoom H1 or the Zoom H4n are good to have. Just so you can plug you mic into them.

Blue snowball for me is so clear and picks up no background noise for the price is a bargain!

Good explanation,I am planing to buy a Blue Snowball,it's coool and cheap michrophone,i heard good things about him,and Audio Technica ATR2100 is good too,i had him and it's soo good, but I broke him /sadface :)

Would that be able to fin on my desk and hang over so that it doesnt get in the way of my computer or keyboard? I like to record with the mic like right next to my mouth

That stand I linked would go on the floor and can go very high off the ground.. You could get one that clips onto the side of your desk like a Scissor one.

I would recommend adding the MXL 009 microphone. Has some AWESOME sound quality, if the settings are right.
