One thing you need to make sure you have is a decent pop filter so before the audio is even recorded you'll avoid the pops that letters like P and D can cause. After you record you can't get rid of it. It may be amplifying pops that were already on the audio but it may be something to do with the software that its being exported from.
Thanks for your suggestion,

just ordered the pop filter & an arm stand,

hope this helps.

I just got a Blue Yeti! I can't wait to use it :)

Got one last month, it's really great. Will be really good for your lets play series.[DOUBLEPOST=1424172391,1424172206][/DOUBLEPOST]Hey guys, need to buy a pop filter for my Mic, but have noticed a huge variance In prices. I was under the impression they were a piece of mesh on a standard, what's the difference between a £7 one and a £40 one?

£33

Generally, the build quality of the arm and how it fastens to mic stands is all that separates the expensive from the cheap. You can make a pop filter with an embroidery circle and a set of pantyhose and it will be just as effective.

Great idea! I'm saving up to buy a Blue Yeti at the moment. I've got a budget Mic which is pretty good, but for sound quality and clarity the Blue Yeti is really good I hear.

Thanks dude, nice to know. Will order me one right now.

Time for me to eat crow about Blue microphones...

That's the Baby Bottle. This thing sounds... unbelievable for my voice. I'm still tweaking the gain settings and what have you, but for my deeper voice it seems to pair perfectly. Far less "woofer" like.

But you have a SM7B. That's like having a porche and goin "Meh, it's ok". LOL

LOL I have to say it's a question of MATCHING my voice, not quality in the abstract. The SM7B is an absolutely stellar microphone. The issue I have is that I have a really bassy voice and the SM7B is rather full and rich, which leaves me sounding too "subwoofery" and "radio-y" unless I do more EQ'ing than I'd prefer. The Blue is brighter and crisper so it evens me out and leaves me sounding more like I'm just sitting in the room.
