Make copyrighted music not copyrighted?

So I heard that if you used copyrighted music and changed some things on audacity, Youtube wouldn't be able to pick up on the original song. Is this true?

Well yeah if you manipulate the song enough it won't recognized as copyrighted music.
That doesn't make it "not copyrighted" though.

Changing the pitch might make it harder to detect, but I've seen some videos be detected even with a pitch change.

It works sometimes... Me and one collegue had to work on one video which had in background some copyrighted music and we edited it in Audacity (changed pitch of song and I think that we changed some other things IDK what really it was before almost a year) and YouTube didn't detected music at all.
Give a try and check it out (create sample clip with song you want to use and upload it at Private and wait)

...or you could create your own music, pay for the proper rights to use it, or use music that allows you to use it instead of trying to weasel your way around copyright law and stealing other people's work.

There are plenty of options available to you. It's sad that you're trying to use the most questionable one.

It also depends on if the original artist finds out about that music or not, if so they might report and then boom... rip

I never said I was trying to use this option, I was simply asking because I've seen people posting videos about it on the internet
