No, adsense lets you make money off your videos. If you don't want to make money off your videos yet, there's no reason to have adsense. If you don't have it yet, just wait until you grow enough, then sign up with some network that can offer you a deal without adsense.

I don't know of any that do require it. I am currently with Fullscreen and used to be with TGN; neither of those did. What's an example of a network which forces you to use adsense?

While I understand you may be concerned about the possibility of such an event occurring you have to take into account there is over 1,000,000 YouTube partners to-date so these things will happen to only a small amount of partners in the first place. I've been using AdSense for 3 years and have never had any problems.

I'm not sure if there's an easy way to unlink your adsense from your youtube account. If you're worried about clickbombing, then don't monetize your videos. You do not have to have any videos monetized to join a network.
