Fullscreen Lawsuit

Now I see... Well then Fullscreen should give them the money... It would be the right thing to do
Assuming that this is all true. Something makes me feel like this whole thing is a publicity stunt and no one owes anyone money, but I guess we will see.

Kutski just posted this on his youtube

This is how stupid some of the copyright infringement cases are. How can people who have created the music not able to upload their own music onto their own channel ?

Fullscreen is in negotiations with publishers to expand beyond just Universal. Discussions weren't going well, so the publishers filed the lawsuits because Fullscreen will give them a better deal to make the lawsuit go away. No big deal.

If you don't agree with Copyright law, you need to complain to the govt. not YouTube that's for sure. (not necessarily directed at you :))

I recognise that person, he was banned for copyright infringement, right? If I am right, he violated the copyright of another persons material 3 times. The first strike is your warning to stop. If the copyright strikes were invalid, or false then he had the option and right to file a DMCA-counter notification to dispute it, simple.

Are you talking about kutski ? hes an electronic music producer, he actually makes music and he was just complaining that he cant upload his own content onto his personal youtube account because the record labels copyright claim it and either get it taken down or get advertisements put on it so they can get money and he never receives any of the money that the record labels get from this. He has never violated the copyright of another person its his own music that he is unable to upload not someone elses.

I must of been thinking of someone else, oops sorry hehe. Sounds like he signed over exclusive rights to every song he makes to the Record Label, so he needs to get permission first. He should be getting royalties though.

Unfortunately that's not usually the case. Most of the copyright concerns from music producers come from people who have given distribution rights to US companies in US markets. These publishers then upload the music to ContentID which prevents outside use worldwide.
