Evidence For Increased CPM With Networks?

Is there any networks that are particularly worth paying attention to, or avoiding, actually I think I pretty much have the ones to avoid figured out -
TGN has been serving ads which are 13 minute promotional films for industrial parts washers in their quest for CPM.
Several others can't seem to communicate outside of form letters.
And some are clearly just subnetworks of others (some are even dishonest about this fact).
I've read the bad press about maker and Machinima.
Fullscreen I talked to, ultimately I wasn't sure I'd benefit.
Forela Digital - seem to be everywhere in the background.
Collective? Anyone have any comments?
Seriously, this thing is messing with my sleep.
Sub networks - you can always use shane's cheatsheet here to see who is a subnetwork: yttalk.com/threads/list-of-networks-and-their-requirements.48515

Don't know about Collective - they didn't respond to me (annoying, I get more than 1m views per month... come on...)

It sort of blew up in a nasty way earlier in this thread but I still do love my current network: Omnia. It has all the things I value:
  • SHORT lock in (3 months , 6 months, or 1 year MAX)
  • GREAT support - My rep is online about 16 hours per day on skype, I have his cell #, etc
  • Great CPM - Personally it doubled my CPM
  • Flexible contract - probably the best part - get a contract that makes sense for you, not some cookie-cutter contract. Personally I opted for lower rev share in exchange for more support.

Yeah let me be clear - nobody needs to warn anyone right now - I'm under siege from plenty of sales people that have no relation to this site.

I know, the fact you are asking on here shows you didn't sign the first contract shoved under your nose via random message on YouTube :giggle:

If you want to talk with a rep my network - at least for a point of comparison against other networks - I can send you their contact info. Let me know...

I'm already talking. Really looking at OK deal with High end networks VS good deal with small network.

Or just staying solo for now.

Were not a biased forum, some people are, but if we have your stats we can help recommend the best option. Then again, if you choose to remain anonymous, its entirely your decision. You mentioned you were a gaming channel? If so, have you do you face getting around copyright issues? :p

It's extremely easy to get around copyright issues. I emailed over 40 companies today and received permission to use all audio and visuals for my videos. I was also told by ALL companies so far that any of my future channels will also be able to have permission. I took a screenshot of all my emails and even got some signatures emailed to me. if you simply take the initiative and contact support/PR you will get a response pretty quickly. Electronic Arts even gave me permission to use their games in my monetized videos, as long as I clearly state they own the rights to the game and that EA are the owners. Good luck, I'm sure you won't have a problem either.

Scott, if you don't get a 90% rev share don't even bother, I know you can get that much. Secondly, ask tons of questions about the benefits they offer and how they work to get better ads etc. With your traffic you can always stay solo and still do great (obviously). Don't be afraid to negotiate as well, with your stats you can negotiate easily.

First let me say your one of my fav YouTubers :cloud9:
Then I say, I have a network under ForelaDigital so I`m biased about them :p usually.

There`s a few networks you left out there, I`d recommend looking into.
1) NSquared (Gaming network side of Collective Digital)
2) Leet79 (Gaming Network under Base79 , has high requirements of 10,000 subscribers)
3) Union for Gamers (their CMS is under Maker, but they handle ad sales themselves)

Collective has a tendancy to be a bit elitist about their selection. They aren't as concerned with views alone like most networks.
