Do you rely on VidiQ/TubeBuddy

I know where your coming from. Have you used either of them recently? I'm going to be adding VidiQ later when I come home from work to see what its like.

I have TubeBuddy currently installed. Never used VidIQ because I don't use Chrome.

How long did you spend using them? Were they really not all that much?

I think I spent about a total of 15 minutes with TubeBuddy before I realized the only people TubeBuddy is really helping are the people selling it/getting paid for referrals/saying how great it is..

I have used both. VIdIQ is pretty much useless for tiny YouTubers because you don't generate enough data to take advantage of the large price tag. If your channel is big enough and gets enough view data etc, then it's better than Tube Buddy.

I use Tube Buddy for optimizing my videos, tag suggestions, keyword research etc and for the price, it's great. The nature of my channel means I rely on search for 90% of my views, so it's worth every penny for me. I think video tutorials on both tools are needed (in depth) I am considering creating a Tube Buddy one as it's essentially an SEO tool (which is part o the focus of my channel)

Thanks,
Darren

My initial experience of Tubebuddy has been enough to tell me that I don't need it going forward.

I can see how it would be useful if your content was of the type that you needed presets for descriptions and tags, but for most of us who have really varied content, I think invest the time and money into figuring out the social media game instead.

Granted I am only a few videos into youtube, and I may change my opinion further down the line.

I use TubeBuddy (Paid one-time feel for lifetime membership). As with anything they’re resources, anybody that says “I don’t use them and I’m doing just fine” don’t really understand the use of TubeBuddy. It’s marketed as a YouTube management Kit, although it has helps people grow, it’s main use is a tool for YouTube channel management. It excels extremely well when analyzing where users rank in tags and suggests tags when immediately uploading a video. I also use it when I bulk upload videos, you can change the description for all of them at once, as well as tags etc. TubeBuddy also has features that can help you compare video performance if you switch thumbnails. If you want an easier experience with YouTube I would recommend you getting it, if you plan on using it as a tool to grow you’ll most likely end up disappointed.

I forgot to mention that I do often use the TubeBuddy keyword tool that gives suggested keywords.

The keyword planner gives you an idea for how good this keyword is to target based on search volume and competition.
When you see that your keyword has lots of search volume and you could easily dive into the first page with a video to that topic, then go!
I love the TubeBuddy Keyword planner for this feature.

I have both installed myself and have paid previously but they are essentially the same. I’m leaning now more towards TubeBuddy since the keyword planner. I also look for other videos like mine and see what keywords they used especially those that are ranked.

I haven’t had the time to do it manually, but I’m not convinced that paying for it is worth it yet.
