Dedicated YouTuber + Un-Explored Niche = Success,
I compare you a bit to the Yogscast, their channels grew as the game they posted (Minecraft) grew, they got into that niche at the start and therefore were one of the first to get known. and then kept at it.
You seem similar to them.

Why can`t I get some of that success

Yes, I'm aware who the Yogscast guys are and how they managed to build themselves up...

I honestly wish YouTube was more about quality than timing... Sadly at current, being early is much more important than being good, detailed, knowledgeable, and correct.

I would but I don't know a lot about gameplay licensing tbh never really looked into it as I never plan on uploading gameplay.
