According to this Socialblade blog post, YouTube is about to release an update to the mechanism that flags videos as "not suitable for all advertisers."
https://socialblade.com/blog/youtube-monetization-algorithm-accuracy-update/

They say we should be prepared for previously monetized videos to turn yellow and vice versa. They also said manually-reviewed videos deemed appropriate will stay green no matter what, and that we should continue to report videos that we think are flagged incorrectly.

I hope Socialblade has their info right! I think it sounds promising. ^_^

In all fairness, i read the whole guidelines regarding revenue on everyone's videos... now they're saying you have to reach 1K views in 7 days to earn the revenue, but in my Livestream video...

that got "not suitable for all advertisers" too until i was able to get it reviewed..
what i don't understand is - why would the guidelines say ''You have to earn 1K views to earn revenue'' i mean, in the meantime what happens to the earning of revenue when the 7 days are up?
you don't get the monetization and you don't get the Money that the decent quality videos you've made helps get!!

if you ask me YOUTUBE HAS BECOME A JOKE they make up the rules as they go along, I'm now sure of it!! if you all read their guidelines, the're breaking every rule!![DOUBLEPOST=1509195472,1509194641][/DOUBLEPOST]where's my latest post??[DOUBLEPOST=1509196671][/DOUBLEPOST]

I wouldn't read everything SocialBlade says as that's not a very Accurate website - sorry to burst your bubble....

I've been doing some mod showcases for Skyrim SE on Nexus, and three out of four have been deemed unsuitable. I requested a manual review, which fixed the first one and hopefully will these too. What triggers this, exactly? I showed no nudity, and only one had any violence (the one that was not deemed unsuitable).

Not a huge deal, but what's up?

That's how YouTube unfortunately is.

Search "YouTube demonitsation" up on youtube and you'll see a lot of big youtubers complaining about it.

Something in your description, tags or whatever must've caused YouTube's algoriddim to demonitise your video's automatically. Hopefully the other two video's will get fixed too

YT has gotten incredibly picky with what they push or not push as well as advertising.

As Brandon said, it is a growing theme with them. Could be due to Skyrim being property of Bethesda? Copyright?

Ahhh, that makes sense, thank you. I'm not sure what word, but I'll look back through.

Maybe, but I don't think so. If it was a copyright, I think they would have given my an infraction. Bethesda seems pretty cool about LPs anyway.

As someone who's videos take 12 - 100 hours to film cut and render. Having the last 5 out o 5 videos demonitized is very frustrating.

I used 2 swear words in the past 9 months and zero in the last 5 out 5.

My channel is a fishing tackle review channel. Basically taking multiple reels apart at the same time to allow fishermen to make informed purchasing decisions. Plus tips and hacks.

All manual reviews have overturned the bots hasty mistake. But as someone who relies solely on youtube, amazon, ebay and partnerships. And averages 5-15 minutes of view time per video. 500-1000 adds up when many first 48 hr views come from countries with high cpms.

And reading through the CC's I can't find anything that would flag. Most of my vids are bench top with just gear and a red, blue or red backlit acrylic background.

All music is from youtube and declarations made in the description if necessary.

What a pain.
