Considering Joining a Network Questions and Concerns

I am a pretty successful YouTuber and have been looking into joining a Network. I have gotten some pretty good offers from networks but it would be nice to discuss them with someone in a network so I know I make the right decision. I was offered very enticing contracts from both TGN and Acifin Networks. I would mean a lot to me if anyone in a Network or apart of either of those took a few minutes to let me know what I should do, or give me feedback on the Network.

Channel Stats
86,000 subscribers
300,000 views daily

Offers
TGN 100/0 split up to 4.00 then 80/20 for any amount over 4.00
Acifin 90/10 split

Are these networks worth joining? I spent quite awhile negotiating these deals with both networks because I know I could get a good split with how many views my channel is receiving. Income is my main concern while joining a Network, as I believe I have pretty much figured out how to grow my channel solo at this point. Who should I choose? Or should I look elsewhere?

dang, nice subs and channel views. I wanna join The gaming station but I don't know anything about networks.

The first thing you need to ask TGN is if that $4.00 CPM quota is gross (before the 45% cut goes to adsense) or net (after the 45% is taken out). Also see if they're willing to give you a dedicated partner manager and demand that your earnings reports on youtube stay on. Acifin is also under BBTV but usually likes to lock you up for a greater period of time, so try to avoid them. Also be aware that BBTV usually takes a 40% cut before handing the money over to TGN or Acifin, so those splits may be very inflated. Who did you talk to to make those deals? You should be dealing with the Head of Content & Partnerships at Broadband/Viso. His name is Ali Adab. If you're set on going with a BBTV network, make sure to talk to him first.

Have you talked to any other network? Most will offer you similar deals with a much better track record. I shopped my channel around to several networks and BBTV was never in the running due to bad communication and low offers. Fullscreen Arcade, TGS/Polaris, Curse/UFG and Omnia all have very good reputations, so you should reach out to them. If you live locally to any network, you should consider them as it's much easier to handle issues when you walk into the office and talk with someone face to face.

I'm assuming TGN is 100% net and then they list a bunch of administration fees so it's not 100% you will be receiving in your PayPal account. With the amount of views you get, don't go for any contract longer than let's say 3 or 6 months.

Take a read through this: since revenue is your main concern (and rightfully so).

I have read through the contract they sent me and looked at all the information and there are no types of fees associated with the 100%. It is a 1 year contract though.[DOUBLEPOST=1375856514,1375856092][/DOUBLEPOST]

Looking through the contract it does say Net on the 100 percent offer. I would really like to be able to view my earnings over YouTube as I am a bit obsessive about my stats as it is, lol. How would I get a hold of the Head of Content& Partnership? I am not really set with anything, but I am looking at all my offers because I want to make the right decision before signing a contract. My big problem is I don't really know enough about Network and do not have any friends on YouTube who are partnered that I could talk to about it. So you think I should avoid those networks and look elsewhere then?

Talk with every network and see what they have to offer. Be very clear about what you want from them and take your time to look over each offer. With your view volume, you should be able to get a decent deal-and you should also consider hiring an attorney to go over any contract that you may sign. If you want security, ask about a quota contract to protect your bottom line. Ask to see hard numbers on what other partners with your volume/channel size make in the network and compare it your numbers in the same time period. CPMs vary quite a bit from network to network, but you should be able to spot a pattern. Be very careful with any network that quotes gross CPMs to make their numbers seem better.

Personally, I would avoid BBTV completely due to their track record no matter what they say they will offer you. Speak to all the other networks. I would make a point to speak to TGS, Curse, and Fullscreen Arcade first. You may also want to look into Yeousch and Machinima, however I would generally say to lean towards the others I have listed. There are a lot more networks out there, and they will all get on their hands and knees to have you under them. Take your time and make a good decision. :) Good luck and great channel btw!

What is the best way to contact most Networks? I feel like when I go on there websites to apply it is weeks before I hear anything back. By the way, what exactly is a quota contract?[DOUBLEPOST=1375894761,1375894646][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thank you for the suggestion! Is there an easier way to contact these Networks than applying on there site? I feel like it takes weeks to see a reply when I do, and sometimes I never get one.

A quota contract sets a level where your earnings are untouched by a network. So let's say your quota is $5k per month. That means the first $5k per month is 100% yours. The network only takes a split on money earned in excess of $5k, so if you earn $6k in that month, they can only take a percentage on $1k of your earnings.

Never apply via the website/standard method when you are larger. There's too many hoops to jump through. Try to get hold of whoever is in charge so you don't have to deal with red tape when negotiating a contract. Most larger channels will have a contact list within a network-I have a bunch of contacts from all the meetings I had with networks before I signed, so you're welcome to any/all of the information. I PMed you with the BBTV info that I was given at Vidcon, so check your PMs on this forum.
