I liked your channel because i too am a married father of 4 love kids and it gave me a common ground
First of all let me say thank you for the help you give everyone , i have watched many of your videos in the last few weeks , and they have helped me tweak and become more aware about certain aspects of my channel so thanx for that. I wanted to touch on your comment about your channel being a small niche brand. I personally think your brand is maybe one of the biggest on you tube. where it may only surround one topic ( you tube creators ) this topic applies to every single you tuber on you tube who has a channel they want to improve on. that's a massive scale with the amount of young ones that use you tube and influence that you tube is having on them. Gaming i agree is also massive but only if you are a a general gamer and dont target true hardcore fans.
I am confident enough to say that for the content i provide and in most videos in which the content has taken over 200 hours to create has more substance and watch value, but unfortunately to a small amount of gamers. My choice of content isn't a massive game , it is indeed a small niche brand in the gaming world. Ok i have only just started this past few weeks to expand the visuals , tricks and so forth because i originally made the channel to link to another platform in a forum so i could show my creations there. But as you tube does , i have been bitten and find it very challenging and competitive and very addictive. When i say its a small game there is only a few style of these games around thus making it a true up hill climb to gain any subscribers. What i find a problem is my market audience is also taken up by the likes of the massive channels with an already massive audience , with empty gesture videos that have taken a few hours to put together. These arent true fans of the game , or really have any true intent on providing informative or use full footage , but just their already thousands of subscriber who they already have from other games like bo3 , battle field and many more just flood their video with likes. Leaving smaller channels with actual real visual decent content way down the hill. I actually make content in this game which my channel is mainly about in which has been recommended by the developers yet i still only get 10 likes maybe and 60 views. I find it very frustrating and do agree that these massive channels that just latch on to every little corner are keeping back small gamers who actually have passion about what they are creating.
So its not as clean cut as , just make sure your thumbnail as attractive or make sure you have the right tags. If the massive channels are covering even the small games you stand absolute no chance what so ever because within a matter of hours they have thousand of views and many hours watch time. What can be done about this i dont know but for small niche you tube gamer's these channels are actually crushing all we can do. Its frustrating because they dont even care about the game that they are portraying. I watch them sometimes and were i can see why my son maybe find them funny , they don't provide anything actually that represents the actual game. Infact i play this game every single day and i never seen any of them actually in the game MP or even creating tracks for the community to play and its the community that actually keeps the game alive , yet these are the ones portraying the game but they don't even add to the game for it to stay alive .
I can in some why feel where these guys who go doing those dodgy subscriber things are coming from , maybe if they get a big amount of subscribers they will then maybe stand chance. It had crossed my mind but that's not what i created my channel for and not what i plan on doing. Im not in if for cash but just to share with the world my true passion at the moment
